Running Breaks
Popular, weekend running breaks:
We invite running groups to come and explore the varied terrain; with lakes, woodland, mountain and moorland, led by experienced and knowledgeable local guides.
Our guides will discuss the options with you at the start of your break to make sure that your routes suit the needs of your party. Many of our routes start or finish on the doorstep.
Return to comfort:
Afterwards relax at the Lodge in the comfort of 5* en-suite accommodation, fantastic food, great service and no traffic noise to disturb your well earned sleep.
Treat yourself to a post-run massage, (additional charge) or simply relax and socialise with a drink from our well stocked honesty bar.
Make it a Family Weekend:
Invite your partners and family along, to enjoy the local attractions and stunning countryside. Many join in with the orienteering and Archery activities on Saturday.
Our suggested itinerary:
Arrive Friday from 5pm for tea, coffee and cakes, followed by a short run before dinner.
On Saturday morning, runners take to the trails for a lovely scenic run, whilst family and partners explore the valley on the network of walking and cycling trails, or simply relax at the Lodge.
On Saturday afternoon we arrange a team orienteering challenge, followed by an opportunity to give your legs a rest and try your hand at archery.
On Sunday morning runners once more take to the hills and trails for another stunning run in quiet unspoilt countryside, whilst family members enjoy the area at a more leisurely pace.
Your weekend break will include:
-
2 nights’ bed and full breakfast in 12 twin en-suite, 2 single en-suite and 10 single rooms with shared en-suite facilities (2 bedrooms share 1 shower room).
