River Study:
Compare the local rivers at two points
The first high on the mountainside as a fast moving stream in a V shaped valley, and again as the gradient lessens and the flow reduces. As conditions permit we can take cross sectional measurements and compare flow rates.
Forest Study:
Compare and contrast different areas of woodland
Site one is commercial forestry with coniferous species and minimal variation. Site two is broadleaved woodland managed for wildlife and conservation.
